B9308038 (Assignment 4)

The Effects of an Invention or Innovation in Modern Life

[[Invention made a great impact on my life and it is also important to our human life. The invention of Internet for instance links our human life closely. ]]===> 建議改成: An Invention that has made a great impact on my life and links our human life closely is the Internet. Besides, the innovation of Wireless brings me a great deal of convenience to surf on the Internet. In the word, if there is no invention, we couldn’t have such convenience and ease to communicate with people. Consequently, the invention affects our life deeply and far, and it brings us a substantial efficacy.

The first influence of invention is convenience (One of the effects of the Internet in modern life is convenience). In my opinion, [[the Internet which is the most important element in my life saves me much time. ]]===>建議改成:The most contribution that the Internet has made in my life is saving me much time. The Yahoo Server to surf the News instead of reading Newspaper(? Do you mean: " For example, now I use the Yahoo Server to read online newspawers"?) and (delete) In the past, if we had a report, we would have went (to go) to the library to look for information, but nowadays the Search Engine helps our lazy students. It not only saves us time but also offers us much more information to read.

The other effect of invention in modern life is easy (the ease) to communicate with my friends far away from me. Recently, there are plenty of messaged software, such as MSN Messager and Yahoo Messager. Typing or using the microphone to chat with them is so easy to stay in touch. By the way, there is a new product called webcam using (which can be used) to see your friends on the minor (?). It is so magic, isn’t it? The effect brings us not only advantages but also some disadvantages. [[There are some researches, because of internet, it became a danger place of commitment.]]===>建議改成: Some recent research has shown that the Internet has become a danger place of communicaion. Chatting Room (delete) and trading through the Internet bring us a huge negative impact. Therefore, be cautious to chat with strangers and buy things in(on) the Internet.

[[Consequently, humans are very greatest to invent and create such incredible missions.]]===>建議改成: However, it is amazing that humans can invent such a wonderful thing like the Internet. Anyway (So), we should thank for the creator (inventor) to give us such a comfortable life.

B9302047 (Assignment 4)

Assignment 4 : The effect of an invention or innovation in mordern life.

Modern physics, also known as the Quantum Mechanics, has made great change upon our life (has changed our life greatly) in my opinion. First of all, I would like to explain the Quantum Mechanics to you. It's a science which studies the phenomenon that existed in this world but we didn’t notice. For example: atom. I suppose everybody knows that every substance was (is) made by (of) atoms, but seldom knows that atom was (is) consisted by (of) electron and proton. Quantum Mechanics is specialized (?) in doing research on those tiny particles.Since Planck posed his Planck Constant in 1900, physicists start to research (have been researching) the microcosm. The result of their efforts has made our life different. Almost, as a matter of fact, all of the electronic products we use today are all the results of Quantum Mechanics, such as portable music player, random access memory, liquid crystal display, etc. are all the result from Quantum Mechanics (delete). What a great influence! Imagine the world without them, what will it look like? [[At the end of this article, I would like to apologize to those who don't know what I'm talking about. It may be too professional to those who don't have the EE or physics background. But I've already tried my best to explain it in simple ways. If you still have any question, just ask me by leave a comment.]]===> This part sounds too informal, like email writing.

***You may want to refer to 羅時宣's essay which also talks about Quantum Mechanics.
